Tinubu Is A Total Failure ---- Obasanjo
Former President Olusegun Obasanjo has made a blistering attack against President Bola Tinubu, describing his administration as a “total failure.”
... Says President's poor performance has "made us all victims" of his failure
Former President Olusegun Obasanjo has made a blistering attack against President Bola Tinubu, describing his administration as a “total failure.” Obasanjo said that the Tinubu's administration was struggling to sustain itself due to massive failure in all sectors.
The former President spoke in a viral video address to business leaders.
In the video now circulating online, Obasanjo warned that an ineffective government inevitably turns citizens and institutions into victims.
Obasanjo, also a former military Head of State, in his veiled attack against Tinubu, noted that one of the earliest lessons he learned in his military career was never to reinforce failure, which was exactly what was now playing out in the country,
His words, “The first lesson I learned in my military training is never enforce failure. What we have now is failure.
“The point is this, when you have an ineffective and incompetent government, we are all victims.
“If there were no challenges, then you wouldn’t need to come. You come in because you know that there are challenges, and then you start giving excuses.”
Obasanjo further lamented that businesses and livelihoods would have fared better under a more competent leadership, but regretted that, rather than correcting bad situation, those in authority appear more focused on consolidating power and positioning themselves for re-election, even as government's prescribed solutions to problems continued to fall short of expectations.
Obasanjo was among the dignitaries
who received Tinubu in Ogun State during the commissioning of the new Gateway Airport last week, and both leaders appeared to have had good public encounter on the occasion.
However, Obasanjo further that poor governance did not only affect ordinary citizens but also crippled businesses that would have ordinarily thrived under effective and good leadership, adding that an incompetent system ultimately undermined national progress, as failure in governance had far-reaching consequences across all sectors of economy.
