Pandemonium In Owerri As Bandits Kidnap Three Bus Loads, Members Of Abia Governor's Team
Pandemonium broke out this morning along Owerri-Aba road in Umuhu Umuota Community in Ngor Okpala LGA of Imo State on Tuesday, when bandits took over the popular Aba-Owerri road and kidnapped an unspecified number of travellers into the bush.

Some members of an advance team of the Abia State governor, Alex Otti's convoy heading to Imo airport was attacked the bandits in the morning hours of the day.
Aba-Owerri road is a busy road as it is the link road for traders and travellers coming/going to and from the popular Onitsha main market in Anambra State, where volumes of goods sold in Ariara market are purchased.
Three full buses were hijacked around Ngor Okpala axis. Meanwhile, residents of Imo are warning those traveling to and from Owerri - Aba, to be careful as the situation is tense. According to them, "Be on guard.
The days are evil, May God save and protect us amen."
