--In the last three years, Doris Uzoka-Anite has had her portfolio changed three times by President Bola Tinubu.
During the three-year period, Uzoka-Anite has been downgraded from senior to junior minister and has not completed two years in a role.
She was first appointed in August 2023 as minister of industry, trade and investment, but a year and two months later, the president changed her role, with Jumoke Oduwole taking over.
Uzoka-Anite was redeployed in October 2024 to the finance ministry, where she served as the minister of state for finance under Wale Edun, the minister of finance and coordinating minister of the economy.
Edun said her appointment would be instrumental in supporting ongoing economic initiatives; however, a year and four months later, the president has shipped her to the ministry of budget and planning.
She will serve as the minister of state for budget and planning under Atiku Bagudu.
Prior to entering the ministerial list in Aso Rock, Uzoka-Anite was the commissioner for finance and coordinating economy in Imo state for two and a half years before she left to serve under Tinubu.
The University of Benin graduate switched to the public sector after 19 years in the private sector, where she worked in the health and financial sectors.
After spending five months — June to October 2002 — at Providence Hospital as a medical officer, she joined Zenith Bank as an assistant banking officer and rose through the ranks to become group head/treasury, a position she left in March 2021.
