Jigawa Commissioner Sankara Denies Having Illicit Affair With Married Woman
Jigawa State Commissioner for Special Duties, Mr. Auwal Sankara, has denied allegations of adultery and refuted claims of his arrest by the Kano Hisbah Command. He labeled the accusations as baseless and part of a plot to tarnish his reputation.
Adultery: The Jigawa State Commissioner for Special Duties, Mr Auwal Sankara, has denied allegations that he was arrested by the Kano Hisbah Command over alleged adultery.
In a statement on Sunday, Sankara said, “I wish to categorically state that these allegations are entirely false, baseless, and malicious; aimed at tarnishing my reputation.
Sankara further emphasized his commitment to upholding moral values, noting that as a married man, he respects the institution of marriage.
“I have the utmost respect for the institution of marriage and would never engage in actions that violate its sanctity."
According to Sankara, it was his intention to pursue legal action against those responsible for spreading the false allegations against him.
“I am taking this matter seriously and will pursue legal action against those responsible for spreading this false information and attempting to cause harm to my person,” he further noted.
There had been a wave of reactions in social media, with some expressing support for him while others asked for thorough investigation.
