Africa's richest man and President of Dangote Group, Alhaji Aliko Dangote, says his conglomerate paid tax of N450 billion to the Federal Government in 2024, thus establishing the group as the highest tax-paying entity in Nigeria, surpassing the combined tax contributions of all banks in the country.

the Group’s dedication to furthering national infrastructure development, with plans to invest an additional N900 billion in road projects across Nigeria.
Among those initiatives he also include the Deep-Sea Port Access Road, which is part of a broader effort by the Group to enhance transportation infrastructure under the Federal Government’s tax credit scheme.
During the meeting, Dangote commended President Tinubu’s leadership, highlighting his efforts in restoring investor confidence within the private sector.
In a gesture of appreciation, Dangote announced that the road leading to the Dangote Petroleum Refinery & Petrochemicals would be named Bola Ahmed Tinubu Road, honouring him for his contributions to the nation’s industrial growth.
“The Dangote refinery complex is, in many ways, your brainchild. The main road leading into our refinery is now to be known as Bola Ahmed Tinubu Road,” he said.
