2027: Primate Ayodele Says Tinubu Plans to Replace Shettima With A Sitting Governor

Leader of the INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele, says that President Bola Tinubu was planning to replace Vice President Kashim Shettima ahead of the 2027 presidential election.
He spoke in a statement signed by  his media aide, Osho Oluwatosin, weekend. Ayodele claimed that Tinubu’s decision to run a Muslim-Muslim ticket in 2023 has continued to generate political consequences, including moves to remove the Vice President.
The cleric warned that removing Shettima in a hostile manner could backfire politically, stressing that such a move could damage the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC.
His words, “I warned Tinubu against the Muslim-Muslim ticket, but most people did not listen. If Shettima is removed in an acrimonious manner, it will work against the interest of the party because they are contemplating picking a governor to replace him as vice president.”

Ayodele further cautioned the President against selecting any governor who recently defected to the APC, particularly from the northern part of the country, noting that such a decision could trigger political tension in the region.
According to the cleric, “If any of the decamping governors from the north is picked, it will cause aggression in the north.
“Tinubu is working and doing well, but nemesis and betrayal are fighting him. Those applauding him are secretly looking for his downfall, and money cannot buy loyalty."
Ayodele further commented on internal challenges within Tinubu’s administration, claiming that betrayal and internal resistance were undermining the President’s efforts, noting that internal challenges within Tinubu’s administration, included betrayal and internal resistance which he stressed were undermining his m efforts.
On insecurity, the cleric alleged that external forces were influencing Nigeria’s security challenges, pointing out that such foreign interests were exploiting the weaknesses within the system.
