Coronavirus: Pat Asadu begins distribution of free protective materials, drugs against pandemic in 36 wards of his constituency


 

 

The two medical teams sponsored by the member representing Nsukka and Igboeze South Federal Constituency in the National Assembly, Hon Pat Asadu, to treat and test his constituents for Coronavirus disease took off to their various destinations Tuesday morning from his constituency office in Nsukka.

The team for Nsukka Local Government, headed by Dr Declan Ugo Agbo would start from the farthest areas of Okpuje / Okutu/Anuka and proceed to Ibagwa Ani/ Ibagwa Agu/ Okpaligbo, Alor Uno, Akpa/ Ozzi Ward, Edem-Ani, Obimo /Ikwoka, Eha-Ndiagu, Idi/ Ogbu- Ozala, Ibeku Opi, Lejja Ward 1, Lejja Ward 2 and Ede Ukwu.

The team would also visit Ede Nta, Agbamere Umabo, Eha Ulo, Obukpa, Nkpunano, NRU Ward,

Ihe Ward and Owerre Umuoyo.

Also, the Igboeze South team led by Dr Ike Ogbonna would start from the more distant wards like Alor - Agu upwards, but as they cannot determine how many households they can cover in any given day, there is no specific dates for them to reach other wards or communities.

 It would proceed from Alor- Agu to Unadu, Itchi Ward 2, Itchi Ward 1, Nkalagu Obukpa, Echara- Isi Agu, Ezema, Amebo, Ogbagu Ajuona, Ezzi Ngwu, Uhunowerre, 

Umuelo/ Ovoko-Agu, Umu-lolo, 

Ajuona - Ovoko 1, Ugo Ekoyi and

 Likke - Akautara.

Speaking on the medical intervention, Dr Asadu said, "Again, as no one can predict how many households they can cover in a day, bearing Social distancing needs in mind, the exact dates for subsequent wards cannot be exactly stated from the beginning.

"We however hope to conclude in good time by His grace.

"They are taking off from my Constituency office along Obollo Road... The Nsukka LGA team will head to Okutu, Okpuje and Anuka immediately while the Igbo Eze South team will start from Alor Agu," and enjoined the teams to be patient with the people they were going to assist to achieve greater results.
