Nigeria Would've Been Better With Peter Obi AS President In 2023 Election------ Enyinnaya Abaribe

The senator representing Abia South in the National Assembly, Enyinnaya Abaribe has lamented President Bola Tinubu's resort to nepotism in running  the business of governance in the country, saying that  Nigeria would have been better off than what it is today if the Labour Party candidate in the 2023 presidential election, Peter Obi had emerged victorious.
According to  Abaribe,  nepotism  which thrived under President Tinubu would have been non-existent under an Obi presidency.
He spoke on Channels Television's Politics Today, interview on Monday.

His words, “If Peter Obi had won, you probably would have seen a better Nigeria than what we are seeing today.
“Number one, he would not be as nepotistic as this government, he won’t, it’s not in him. That is just who we are, we feel for the other people.”
Abaribe further said for example, that Tiinubu's nepotistic inclination led him to appoint four ministers from Ogun State alone, when many other states had just one each.
Abaribe, also, noted that apart from former Presidents Olusegun Obasanjo and Goodluck  Jonathan, no president has been fair to the people adding that the people of the Southeast cannot continue to wait for Tinubu because, he won't be fair to them.
According to Abaribe, Buhari followed the path of nepotism, but it deepened and bloosomed under Tinubu because Buhari did it and people said little to condemn it, except himself.
He stressed that rather than waiting for presidents to be fair to the people of the South-East, it was high time people of the zone went back to the drawing board, to revamp and develop their area by making it, more livable, better and more cohesive.
Commenting on the arrest of the self-styled Prime Minister of Biafra in exile, Simon Ekpa, in Finland, the Senator described it as a welcome development, pointing out that
the arrest was a good signal to purveyors of violence at home; who were being instigated by the agitator that Ekpa denied being the Biafran Prime Minister after his arrest.
Abaribe also, stressed e that the Igbo had always condemned what Ekpa and his ilk try to direct from foreign lands, noting that the violence in the South-East can be brought to an end if eventually, Nnamdi Kanu was released, as many of those perpetrating violence with Kanu’s name won’t have any further reason to continue inflicting mayhem on their brothers and sisters when Kanu is released.
