The deceased had given the motorcyclist N200 only and warned him to leave the vicinity as he (Okada man) would not like what would happen to him, if he insisted on collecting the remaining N1,000.
However, after failing to talk with his wife, Adul was alleged to have told his father in-law that his "head was full and heavy."
"My head is full. My head is carrying a lot of load. Your daughter refused to have any discussion with me. My head is full," he reportedly told his father in-law severally," before informing his in-law that he was leaving the house at about 9pm.
It was said that when his wife, however, came out of the house to ease herself, about one hour later- 10pm, Abdul came out from where he hid near the building and pursued her. She narrowly escaped being harmed.
"Abdul, then went back to where he was hiding. He had a packet of cigarettes which he smoked endlessly until they were exhausted.
"He then used the lighter he used in lighting the cigarettes to cut a rope used for drying clothes outside the house, which he then used in hanging himself on a rafter in the house which was exposed following a fallen ceiling board along the veranda of the house," residents told Southeast Post.
