The incident happened at Eche Ezama Community in Ibagwa Aka, Igbo-Eze South Local Government Area of the state.
Those murdered were Kamsiyochukwu Ezema (7), Ezinne Ezema (6), Ujunwa Ezema (5), and Chinedu Ezema (2).
The victims were reportedly attacked and killed by the pastor inside their home when their parents were away.
The suspect, who is a pastor from a nearby Sabbath church, is currently detained at the Ibagwa Aka Divisional Police Station.
Reports indicate that the children were alone at home when the assailant allegedly scaled the fence into the compound where he carried out the brutal act.
The parents of the deceased, Chinonso and Loveth Ezema, were away when the tragedy occurred.

Family sources said that the pastor is yet to tell the police reasons for his despicable act, even as Ezemas shared shared boundary with the church where the suspect ministered.
Authorities at the Ibagwa Aka police station have confirmed the incident, stating that an official report has been filed and investigations are in progress. The police however, noted that the matter would be referred to Enugu, after preliminary investigations, for a thorough job on the issue.
