Again, Pastor Adeboye predicts own death, says I’ll die on a Sunday after attending service
The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, RCCG, Pastor E. A. Adeboye, has again predicted his own death, noting that he would die peacefully on a Sunday, but after attending church service.

The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, RCCG,
Pastor E. A. Adeboye, has again predicted his own death, noting that he would die peacefully on a Sunday, but after attending church service.
Apart from attending service, Adeboye said he would also enjoy his favourite meal, pounded yam, before passing to eternal glory. He did not, however, say the type of soup, he would enjoy the pounded yam with.
He spoke on the fourth day of the church’s ongoing International Convention with the theme, “The Overcomers," adding that death does not always come through prolonged illness.
The church leader had made the same predictions two years earlier.
His words, "I will die on a Sunday after attending service, eat my beloved pounded yam, and then pass on without any sickness."
He, then urged Christians to, "Fight for Your Divine Rights.”
Delivering a sermon titled “Possess Your Possessions,” he further asked Christian believers to actively claim what rightfully belonged to them through Christ, using the
biblical example of the Israelites, who had to fight to take possession of the Promised Land, as an example.
“In many cases, you may have to fight for things that are already yours," he further reiterated, pointing out also that believers must resist spiritual opposition—healing, prosperity, fruitfulness, and long life:
Quoting John 10:10, Adeboye said, “Your greatest friend, Jesus Christ, paid a great price to purchase your healing.
“Yet, there is a thief who comes to steal, kill, and destroy.” He then urged Christians to resist sickness through faith.
Speaking on Prosperity,, Adeboye added, “The One who owns the earth and its fullness, and owns all the silver and gold, paid a terrible price so that you wouldn’t be poor. As long as you want to remain poor, you will remain poor.”
Addressing the issue of criticisms against
successful Christians, Adeboye noted, “If you make it as a Christian, they criticise you. If you die poor, they say, ‘Where’s your God?’”
Also, commenting on the issue of longevity, he said, “Long life is yours. But the devil wants to kill you with all he has. You must fight to live...
“We must not remain under the power of the forces of darkness. How can I be a child of God and still be tormented?...
“It is what we tolerate that disturbs us. Stop tolerating sickness, poverty, barrenness, or premature death. Fight to possess your possessions—it’s your spiritual duty, made possible by Christ’s sacrifice.”
