2027: Atiku's Ambition "Cheap Product," Says Babachir Lawal
Former Secretary to the Government of the Federation, SGF, Babachir Lawal, has described former Vice President Atiku Abubakar's 2027 presidential ambition    as “cheap product.”
Lawal spoke in a post on his Facebook page on Sunday.
The statement was titled “Kachalla Series Three."
He spoke against the backdrop of increasing political activity ahead of the 2027 general elections, with political parties and major contenders intensifying efforts to build structures and secure support across the country.
He also criticised the African Democratic Congress, ADC, over its recent handling of the Adamawa State governorship primary, replacing Umar Suleiman, who won the party’s governorship primary, with Tukur Moddibo.
According to Lawal, the alleged substitution due to ethnic considerations even as he accused Atiku of playing a major role in the replacement decision.
Lawal further accused Atiku of influencing the emergence of candidates based on ethnic and religious considerations.
Commenting on both the APC and ADC, Lawal likened the emergence of their presidential candidates to products bought from the online marketplace like Temu.
His words, “As the story goes on the streets in the state, APC donated its gubernatorial candidate to the state having purchased him from TEMU the cheap online market place, and it appears that the ADC too has just done likewise, aside giving to the nation a presidential candidate that looks more like he too was a cheap product from TEMU.”
