Tinubu removes JAMB registrar, appoints replacement
President Bola Tinubu has appointed Professor Segun Aina as the new Registrar of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, JAMB. Aina will succeed Is-haq Oloyede, whose second term in office is expected to end on July 31, 2026, according to a State House statement.

He also attended the Senior Management Programme at Lagos Business School.
Aina began his early professional exposure at JAMB during his National Youth Service year, where he gained experience in admissions processes and data systems used in examinations.
Over the years, he has worked as a consultant to examination bodies such as NECO and NABTEB, as well as education ministries across different states, focusing on digital systems and examination integrity.
He is a member of several professional organisations, including COREN, NSE, IEEE, and IET.
The Presidency stated that Aina is expected to build on the reforms already carried out in JAMB and further improve its digital operations and efficiency after assuming office.
