RCCG Ordains 2,820 Pastors, 11,830 Deacons, Deaconesses at 74th Convention
The Redeemed Christian Church of God, RCCG, has ordained 2,820 pastors and 11,830 deacons and deaconesses alongside 5,977 assistant pastors during its 74th Annual Convention held at Redemption City, along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, Ogun State.

These were made known on Sunday through the church’s Holy Ghost Service account on Instagram.
According to the church, 2,820 candidates were ordained as full pastors during the week-long convention.
The office of full pastor is the highest pastoral office in the RCCG, even as the General Overseer, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, is a full pastor.
The Instagram account read, “2,820 candidates were ordained to the office of full Pastors. In R.C.C.G., the office of the Full Pastor is the highest office; even the General Overseer is a full pastor.

Also, in another post on Tuesday the church noted disclosed on Tuesday, the second day of the convention, that 11,830 deacons and deaconesses as well as 5,977 assistant pastors were also ordained.
The church stated, “A total of 11,830 Deacons and Deaconesses and 5,977 Assistant Pastors were ordained during the 74th Annual Convention of R.C.C.G.”
The ordinations formed part of the activities marking the 74th Annual Convention of the RCCG, which began on Monday, August 3, and ended on Sunday, August 9, 2026.
The theme of the convention which featured daily worship sessions, Bible studies, prayer meetings, seminars and specialised sessions for different groups in the church was “Mountain Movers.”
The church stated, “A total of 11,830 Deacons and Deaconesses and 5,977 Assistant Pastors were ordained during the 74th Annual Convention of R.C.C.G.”
The ordinations formed part of the activities marking the 74th Annual Convention of the RCCG, which began on Monday, August 3, and ended on Sunday, August 9, 2026.
The theme of the convention which featured daily worship sessions, Bible studies, prayer meetings, seminars and specialised sessions for different groups in the church was “Mountain Movers.”
Other activities included the Holy Ghost Service on Friday, Holy Communion and Anointing Service on Saturday, as well as baptism, ordination services and the final thanksgiving service on Sunday.
The church’s General Overseer, Pastor E.A. Adeboye, led several of the convention’s sessions alongside other senior ministers and his wife, Pastor Folu Adeboye.
Furthermore, the event also featured testimonies and thanksgiving from worshippers, while the church announced several developments recorded during the week-long gathering even as 88 new babies comprising 52 boys and 36 girls were born during the occasion.
The 2026 convention ended with a thanksgiving service on Sunday.
