Nigerian troops have retaken the Burutai Village in Biu area of Borno State, which was taken over by Boko Haram and ISWAP terrorist groups early Thursday morning.

Nigerian troops have retaken the Burutai  Village in Biu area of Borno State, which was taken over by Boko Haram and ISWAP terrorist groups early Thursday morning. The troops were temporarily dislodged in the  early morning attack but they swiftly recaptured their base.
Details of the incident were sketchy but residents who spoke on telephone told reporters that the troops were dislodged early Thursday  morning but they recaptured their base soon after.
"The troops were dislodged in the early hours of Thursday but they recaptured it immediately. 
"They were temporarily out of Buratai village but they are back. Brutai is in Biu area of Borno State.
"It was attached in the early hours of today. Our soldiers were initially dislodged but they swiftly recaptured the place from the invading Boko Haram terrorists," they further said.
