Fuel-Laden Tanker Explodes In Ore, Ondo
A tanker loaded with fuel has exploded in Ore, the headquarters of Odigbo Local Government Area of Ondo State.
A tanker loaded with fuel has exploded in Ore, the headquarters of Odigbo Local Government Area of Ondo State.
The incident occurred at about 6:30 pm on Saturday in the Soka area of the town.
Eyewitnesses said that, the tanker veered off the road and fell into a nearby ditch, before exploding, with heavy smoke engulfing the whole area, leading to a reduction in visibility and heavy traffic.
The Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Commission, FRSC, in Ondo State, Samuel Ibitoye, confirmed the incident to Channels Television in a telephone conversation.
Ibitoye noted that no fatality has been recorded as a result of the inferno.(Channels Television)
