Don’t Fight, Challenge APC With Facts, Aregbesola Tells ADC Supporters

The African Democratic Congress, ADC, has advised its supporters against fighting the All Progressives Congress, APC, but instead to challenge the party with facts
His advice comes as the newly formed coalition plans to unseat the Tinubu administration come 2027.

Interim National Secretary of ADC and former governor of Osun State, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola spoke, while advising members of the ADC against insulting or attacking supporters of the APC, following the formal launch of the party in Abuja.
The former Interior Minister who returned to Lagos on Friday, posted the advice in a statement released via his social media handles.
The newly formed ADC plans to unseat the Tinubu administration in the upcoming 2027 general elections.
Aregbesola commended  his supporters who came to receive him at the Lagos airport, asking them not to fight, attack, or insult anyone, but to challenge APC with facts about the state of the economy.
According to him, the task before them was huge, hence the need to be tactful and not rude or violent.
His words, “I sincerely thank our supporters and members of the ADC who came out to receive me on my arrival in Lagos. The task before us is immense, and I reminded everyone that we do not need to fight, insult, or attack anyone.
“When others resort to abuse or name-calling, we must rise above it. Instead, ask them one simple question: Are Nigerians better off today than they were before? Challenge them with facts  on food inflation, the economy, the rising cost of living, and the deepening poverty affecting millions.
“Let our debates remain focused on the issues that matter. Articulate our position clearly and confidently. Explain why our new political home, the ADC, represents a credible and necessary alternative for Nigeria’s progress and long-term sustainability."
