Bandits kill 3 FRSC operatives on official duty in Kebbi

Three operatives of the Federal Road Safety Commission, FRSC, have been reportedly killed by bandits along Tsamiya–Illo road in Bagudo Local Government Area of Kebbi State, weekend.
The victims were identified as DCRMA Umar Aliyu, SRMA Ezra Manu Gona and RMA I Mansur Ibrahim Nasir.
Residents who spoke with reporters said the officers were on official duty when they were ambushed by their attackers.
Security operatives at the Tsamiya axis of Bagudo have come under series of attacks by bandits and Lakurawa terrorists in recent time, even as over
10 officers of the Customs, Immigration and Police had been killed by the terrorists group in Tsamiya/Maje axis of the Bagudo Local Government Area of the state in one year.
Following the spate of bandit attacks in parts of the state, Governor Nasir Idris, weekend, convened an emergency security meeting at the Government House in Birnin Kebbi to strengthen the coordinated efforts aimed at addressing the emerging security challenges in the state.
Speaking on the occasion, Governor Idris said, “My administration will not tolerate or spare anyone found to be an informant. Anyone found culpable will face the full weight of the law, and justice will be served.”
