The Centre for Reform and Public Advocacy, CFRPA, has filed a fresh suit number FHC/K/CS/312/2026 at the Federal High Court Kano State, seeking the prevention of President Bola Tinubu from contesting the 2027 presidential election.
Other defendants in the suit include, the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC and Chicago State University.
The plaintiff noted that Tinubu submitted fake certificates from Chicago State University and another fake NYSC discharge certificate to INEC during the 2023 elections.
They also stated that Tinubu did not attend the Government College Lagos, as claimed, adding that the school was established in 1974, as the president stated that he graduated from the school, even before it was established.
The group asked the court to declare the listed certificates as forged and then disqualify Tinubu from the 2027 election
The plaintiff also urged the Court to Order the Chicago State University to remove Tinubu's name from their records as well as stop INEC from accepting him as a candidate
This new case followed earlier letters the group wrote to INEC and NYSC on June 19, 2026, on the same matter.
