Father of 5 murdered in Enugu community

NSUKKA----A father of five children, Frederick Ogbu, has been murdered by unknown persons in Enugu State.

Ogbu hailed from Ogrute, Enugu Ezike in Igboeze North Local Government Area of Enugu State.

Fred, who was popularly known as "admore" was a poultry farmer as well as dealer in poultry feeds.

He was reportedly invited by unknown persons to come to Nsukka and collect some poultry feeds from the unknown persons who allegedly shot him dead at close range.

His killers did not collect the money he had on him for the purchase of the poultry feeds or his phone and other personal items.

His lifeless body was discovered on Saturday, at a pathway near the hill close to the Water Board in Nsukka Local Government Area of Enugu State.

His body was lying face- up and his motorcycle lying on top of his dead body by his suspected killers.

It was learned that his killers severed admore's legs with weapons suspected to be axe before leaving him to bleed to death.

It was equally gathered that the deceased attempted to tie his badly damaged legs with a handkerchief to save him from loss of blood before dying but help could not come his way before he bled to death.

An undisclosed huge sum of money was discovered on the deceased as his killers fled after snuffing life out of him.

Late Fred was a butcher at a popular market, Eke Ozzi, in his country home, Ogrute, before joining his wife in selling poultry and pig feeds due to ill health.

The state Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, Daniel Ndukwe, could not be contacted for comments on the matter as he neither took his phone calls nor replied the text message on the issue.
