 After commissioning the $800 million  Geometric Power Plant as scheduled Monday February 25, 2024, the company will start the distribution of power to residents in Aba Mega City and environs.

The Mega City comprises nine local government areas, including Osisioma, Aba South, Aba North, Obingwa, Isiala Ngwa North, Isiala Ngwa South, Ugwunagbo, Ukwa East and Ukwa West.

The Aba Geometric Power Integrated Company will thus, become the first electricity company in Nigeria to generate and distribute power on their own through gas. 

Aba will be separated from the national grid, even as the company has laid pipeline to distribute gas from Owaza to their station in Osisioma. There is a 99 percent certainty that Aba will enjoy 24 hours of el

electricity seven days in the week.
