Meta Description: Former Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose, has declared that Labour Party’s 2023 presidential candidate, Peter Obi, has become the new face of the opposition, overshadowing former Vice President Atiku Abubakar. Fayose made this statement during an interview on Channels TV.
Former governor of Ekiti State, Peter Ayodele Fayose, has said that former governor of Anambra State and presidential candidate of the Labour Party, LP, in the 2023 elections, Peter Gregory Obi was now the new face and voice of the opposition and not the former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar.
The outspoken former governor noted that Obi, had overshadowed Atiku and emerged as the true voice of the opposition in the country.
“The press will call Obi than call the PDP and when the Publicity Secretary is suspending people and vice-versa, so where is the party?”
He lamented the deepening leadership crisis that has gripped his party, insisting that PDP members now find themselves adrift, increasingly alienated and devoid of the cohesive identity that once united them.
