Woman Slumps, Dies 8 Hours To Son’s Wedding in Ondo

It was gnashing of teeth and wailing in Ondo West Local Government Area of Ondo Sate as a 53-year old woman, Iyabo Akinnawo, slumped and died about eight hours before her son’s wedding ceremony on Saturday.
Details of the circumstances leading to Iyabo Akinnawo's death were sketchy but the late woman was a notable business mogul in the community before her demise.
Residents of Ondo town who commented on the death said that Akinnawo had gone to plait her hair preparatory to the weeding before she returned home to complain about severe headache and later went to bed to rest.

She alleged to have collapsed after getting out of the bed to prepare for the wedding and then died before getting to the hospital where she was later pronounced dead.
Another account of the incident had it that the deceased came home home from the market where she bought items to be used for the wedding on a motorcycle and collapsed and died, leading to widespread reactions by other residents.

Health workers who were approached for comments, however attributed the death to cardiac arrest, noting as she was a workaholic, who hardly had time to rest.
