Terrorists Abduct Trailer Load of Travellers Between Anka and Gusau in Zamfara Saturday morning. 

Some travellers in a trailer have been abducted between Anka and Gusau on Saturday morning.

The travellers were abducted a place known as Nassarawa in the area at about 11am in the morning and taken into the bush. 

Trailers are common means of transportation in the northeast and some parts of the northwest where Boko Haram and ISWAP terrorists are holding sway as taxes and buses are hard to come by.

Residents of Maiduguri told reporters on the telephone that most of the victims were travelling from Borno State to Zamfara and Kebbi States at the time of their abduction.

The police were yet to react to the development but a traveller who narrowly missed boarding the trailer was full of praises to God over the development.

"This morning, at about 11:00am, in a village called Nassarawa, between Anka LGA and Gurusu, armed bandits abducted unspecified number of people who where traveling in a trailer and diverted them into the bush.

"Residents of Nassarawa said that similar incidents happened yesterday (Saturday) and the day before (Friday) in the same area.

"I was traveling from Damboa in Maiduguri to see my family in Kebbi. I have not seen them for a long time, so I decided to make a brief trip to see my wife and children.

"We reached a place where our vehicle developed some faults around the area called Nasarrawa. That was where the kidnappers abducted the trailer with all the passengers and zoomed past us. 

"I was stopping them to enter the trailer which was already carrying the abducted travellers, most of who could not find smaller vehicles or buses to board. All the travellers were abducted by the terrorists between Anka Local Government and Gusau, the Zamfara State capital. They were abducted at the place popularly known as Nassarawa," the yt
