Rep Dennis Agbo Resigns From Labour Party, Defects To PDP

The member representing the Igbo- Eze North/ Udenu Federer Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Dennis Nnamdi Agbo, has resigned from the Labour Party, LP, and joined the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, citing intractable crisis and divisions in the Labour Party as reasons for his action.
Agbo also said that he decided to go back to his former party, the PDP, following the "outstanding" performance of Governor Peter Mbah of Enugu State, since his inauguration.
His letter of resignation titled, "My Return To The PDP," explaining the reasons for his action, read, "My Dear Compatriots, "The performance of the Governor of Enugu State, His Excellency Dr. Peter Ndubisi Mbah since inauguration has been nothing short of outstanding.
"I have so far enjoyed the privilege and opportunity of supporting and contributing my own efforts to this commitment to moving the state forward.
"In deference to the popular wishes of the highly enterprising people of Igbo-Eze North/Udenu Federal Constituency, the lingering crisis and intractable division in the Labour Party, and in recognition of the same superlative performance of the Governor, I have decided to resign my membership of the LP and return to the PDP.
"Our people believe, and I now agree with them, that working from the same political platform with the Governor will create such synergy that will serve the greater good of our Federal Constituency, and Enugu State in general.
"The process of my return to PDP will be formalized in a ceremony tomorrow (today) May 1, 2025, at the PDP State Secretariat, GRA, Enugu.. I wish to formally invite you to this ceremony which is scheduled to hold by 11 am prompt. I count on your support always, and please do accept the assurances of my very high regard.
Yours Sincerely,  Rt. Hon. Dennis Nnamdi AGBO, FCA, MHR, Igbo-Eze North/Udenu Fed. Constituency."
