Kwara's Senator Mustapha Resigns From APC

The Senator representing Kwara Central Senatorial District on the platform of the All Progressives Congress, APC, and Turaki of Ilorin Emirate Council,  Saliu Mustapha, has resigned his membership of the party. 
Mustapha, announced his resignation in a statement, noting that his decision followed weeks of consultations with political stakeholders, supporters, constituents and other well-meaning Kwarans.
He further said that his decision was informed by recent developments within the party, stressing that politics must remain anchored on the people, principles and purpose.
According to Mustapha, the APC as a political platform no longer aligns with those convictions and the aspirations of the people he represents, hence it had become necessary for him to chart a new course.
He, however expressed gratitude to President Bola Tinubu and the APC leadership for the relationships and experiences he had gained, assuring his constituents that his political platform may change, but his principles, purpose and commitment to the people remain unchanged.
The Turaki of Ilorin Emirate, further said he would remain steadfast in his service to the people of Kwara Central, Kwara State and the country in general,.
