IREV Results In Edo Show PDP Won Governorship Election, Not APC

... Results Expose INEC's Fraudulence

The Independent National Electoral Commission's, INEC's, IREV Portal in Edo Edo State, has shown that the last governorship election in the state was actually won by the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP,  and not that of the All Progressives Congress, APC, as announced by the electoral umpire.
Going by the data posted on the IREV portal as of September 21, 2024, results in several local government area councils reveala clear lead for the PDP, even as the party’s votes decreased significantly and dramatically by the time INEC announced the official results on September 22, 2024.
However, following the decrease in PDP's votes, the  APC’s votes increased between the portal’s figures and the final declaration by INEC.
For examples, in Akoko-Edo LGA, PDP’s votes posted on IREV stood at 20,101, but were reduced by 21.07% to 15,865 when the final result was announced, as APC’s IREV total of 22,963 was inflated by 34.10% to 34,847 in the final results.
Also in Egor LGA, PDP recorders 27,621 votes on the IREV portal but these were reduced by 46.93% to 14,658, while APC’s votes were increased from 10,202 to 16,760, revealing an increase of 39.13%.
Furthermore, in Esan Central LGA, the PDP’s IREV tally of 10,794 was reduced by 20.16% to 8,618, while APC’s votes increased by 38.86 percent, from 6,719 to 10,990.
Also, in Uhunmwonde LGA, the PDP’s initial tally of 16,741 was reduced by 44.21% to 9,339, while APC’s votes significantly by 31.95 percent from 5,972 to 8,776, just as PDP votes in Esan West local government was reduced from 17,434 to 11,004 or by
by 44.50 percent.
IREV records also showed in Ovia North East LGA that PDP’s votes were reduced by 9.87 percent even as APC’s votes increased  by 25.09 percent with similar discrepancies noticed across several LGAs and raising serious  concerns about the credibility of the results officially announced.
According to the IREV portal figures, the PDP altogether, garnered 314,676 votes before the reductions, just as the APC got 223,619 before the party was reportedly awarded 244,606 votes to increase its final tally by 8.58 percent.
The vote alterations between the IREV results and the official announcement have put a big question mark on the transparency of the election in Edo State, even as pressure have continued to mount for thorough investigation of the process.
