Horror As Enugu Man Cuts Off Wife's Wrist
Tragedy has struck as a woman from Itchi Town in Igbo-Eze South Local Government Area of Enugu State Mrs Chinonso Loveth Echegi has had her hand amputated by her husband Mr Sunday Echegi from Ibagwa-Ani in Nsukka Local Government Area.

The cause of the incident is yet unknown but a short video on social media showed the woman with one hand cut off.
When Radio Nigeria visited the hospital where the woman was first admitted, it was discovered that the woman has been transferred to parklane hospital in Enugu while the husband Mr Sunday Echegi is now in Police custody pending further investigation.
Meanwhile, information reaching us is that the Chairman Nsukka Local Government Area Chief Jude Chinedu Asogwa visited the victim at Ketochukwu hospital Nsukka where she was recieving treatment before he ordered for her transfer to Parklane Hospital Enugu for necessary treatment.
Speaking during the visit, the Council Chairman condemned gender-based violence and pledged to support the Victim to ensure that justice is served.
He further promised to cover Mrs Echegi's hospital bills, stressing that the Enugu State Governor has taken interest in the case.
Efforts to get the woman or the relation on phone to explain the cause of the incident proved abortive as phone number given to Radio Nigeria by Ketochukwu Hospital Nsukka was not connecting. (Chinwe Mamah).
