The Federal Government has given updates on its efforts to extradite a self- acclaimed Biafran Prime Minister in exile, Simon Ekpa back to the country.
Ekpa, had been in custody in Finland following his arrest and detention in the foreign country on November 21, last year.
The Chief of Defence Staff, CDS, Christopher Musa, who spoke on Channels Television’s 2024 year-end review programme on Tuesday, noted that the Federal Government had submitted most of the requirements for Simon Ekpa’s extradition to Nigeria.
“The Federal Government has actually forwarded most of the requirements to the Finnish Government. So, I’m sure the right thing will be done.”
A district court in Päijät-Häme, Finland, ordered Ekpa's detention in prison for “spreading terrorist propaganda on social media.”
