A terse report, quoted military sources as noting that, the incident occured at Mogadishu cantonment Bridge close to Roundabout checkpoint in Abuja.
The source further told reporters that, "At about ... On May 25, 2025, an explosion occurred at Mogadishu Cantonment Bridge close to Roundabout checkpoint Abuja.
"The explosive blew the person in possession of the explosive while one person was seriously injured and currently receiving treatment at the Defence medical hospital Abuja."
Meanwhile, members of the Explosive Ordinance Department, "are currently" at the scene of the incident to scan the area, even as the African Independent Television, AIT, news reporters were on ground to investigate the incident.
