COAS Celebrates Sallah With Troops In Sokoto, Asks Them To Go After Bandits, Terrorists
The Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Olufemi Oluyede, has urged troops stationed in the North-West region to go after bandits and other terrorists disturbing the peace in the nation.

The COAS emphasized the need for unity among the various sister agencies as well as among officers and other ranks for overall success of operations.
The COAS used the occasion to serve foods and drinks to the fighting troops and also bring them together to sing morale boosting songs and other events together.
He further visited wounded troops at the military hospital at the Giginya Army Barracks where he assured them of the efforts of the Federal Government in ensuring that they all recuperate and get back on their feet.
The Sultan of Sokoto, Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar, who was represented on the occasion was part of the dignitaries that honoured the event, which also, featured various cultural groups which performed to the admiration of the fighting troops who used the avenue to celebrate Sallah as they can’t leave the frontline to celebrate with their loved ones.
