BREAKING NEWS: Peoples Democratic Party sacks Southeast National Vice Chairman Ali Odefa
Ali Odefa, National Vice Chairman of the Southeast PDP, has been removed from office, according to an announcement by the District Management Committee during a press conference in Onitsha.
The National Vice Chairman of the Southeast Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Mr. Ali Odefa, has been removed from office. The suspension was announced by the District Management Committee led by the District Chief Executive, Herbert Ovuta, at a press conference in Onitsha Local Government Area on Friday.
They accused Odefa of engaging in “anti-party activities.” Speaking at the event, the Chief Executive of Ovuta Constituency stated: “We would like to inform you that the Executive Committee of Augustwo Constituency has made a decision to terminate the Deputy National Chairman of the PDP Southeast Region, Ali Odefa, for his slanderous actions against our party.”
He added: “His dismissal is in accordance with Article 57 (3) of the PDP Constitution. In addition, we have reassigned Chairman Ali Odefa to the Environmental Policy Committee for other duties.”
