Boy 19, Struck Dead By Thunder In Enugu Community
A 19 year old boy, Chukwujekwu Eyah has been struck dead by thunder. Eyah was sleeping on the same bed with four other boys in his maternal grandmother's place on the same bed when thunder struck at about 1am on Monday, killing him and leaving the other four boys unharmed.

A 19 year old boy, Chukwujekwu Eyah has been struck dead by thunder. Eyah was sleeping on the same bed with four other boys in his maternal grandmother's place on the same bed when thunder struck at about 1am on Monday, killing him and leaving the other four boys unharmed.
The incident reportedly took place at Ogboli, in Ugbaike Enugu Ezike in Igbo Eze North Local Government Area of Enugu State.
The police have yet to react to the tragedy but Chukwujekwu's relations confirmed the incident, noting that the deceased had been buried.
"Chukwujekwu was buried on Wednesday. He died around 1pm at Ogboli in Ugbaike, Enugu Ezike, Igbo Eze North Local Government Area.
"Master Chukwujekwu was asleep when the incident occured at his maternal grand parents residence. We have done our investigations.
"Chukwujekwu 's father was a rain- maker. We consulted some diviners who informed us that Chukwujekwu went to the instruments which his late father used as a rain- maker without performing the rituals. That was why the thunder meandered through the bed where he was sleeping with four other persons and struck him alone without even causing damage to any household property or animal and killing the other boys sleeping with him.
"We received news of his death around 8 a.m. We investigated the death traditionally through divination. We were told what happened. His father "got the instruments which he used in causing or preventing rains from Chukwujekwu's mother's place in Iheaka, in the nearby Igbo Eze South Local Government Area of the state, but the family failed to take them back when he died.
"The belief is that the family should have either maintained traditionally or returned it to the original owners in Iheaka," the relations told Southeast Post online newspaper.
