Blood Flows In Plateau Again As 25 Killed, 4 Ohers Over Gunmen Attack In Another Community

No fewer than 25 people have been confirmed dead and four others injured following a deadly attack by armed men on Kimakpa Village, Miango District of Bassa Local Government Area of Plateau State.
Reports from the community said that  the incident, occurred at about 2:45 a.m. on Monday when residents alerted security agencies that the attackers stormed the village and began shooting sporadically.
A combined team of security agencies led by the Military Sector Commander, the Police, and the Police Mobile Force stationed at Miango responded swiftly to the distress call, engaged the attackers, and repelled the assault.
Following the gun duel, a search of the area led to the recovery of 25 corpses, while four injured victims were rushed to the hospital for medical attention.
Meanwhile, the troops of the Nigerian Army have commenced manhunt for the perpetrators, with extensive combing of nearby forests was going on for more bodies of victims even as  additional deployments have also been made to the affected area to forestall further attacks.
