Alleged Infidelity: Man Sets Wife, Children Ablaze In Abia Community
A 40- year old man, has set his entire household ablaze over alleged suspicion that his wife was engaging in extra-marital affairs with other men.

The state Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, DSP Maureen Chinaka confirmed the incident.
The man whose name was not immediately known was alleged to have doused his house with inflammable substance before setting his wife and children on fire at Asa Umudim Community, in Osisioma Local Government Area of Abia State.
The incident resulted to the death of one of his daughters, even as the wife and two other children were battling for survival in a hospital following the attack.
Police sources which confirmed the arrest of the suspect noted that man had confessed that he took the action because he was not sure he fathered all the children from his wife, whom he also accused of
regularly picking phone calls of people he suspected to be her boyfriends.
The police said that the deceased daughter died inside the razed house, just as doctors were battling to save the life of the wife and the other remaining children.
Residents of Osoisioma Community told reporters that angry villagers were about lynching the suspect before the arrival of the policemen who arrested the man, even as the body of the daughter of the suspect who died in the attack has been deposited in a mortuary.
Meanwhile, confirming the story, the PPRO, DSP Chinaka said, “Yes, the oolice are aware. Investigation is ongoing.”
