Again, NNPCL Reduces Petrol Pump Price

The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited, NNPCL, has once again, reduced the pump price of Premium Motor Spirit, PMS, otherwise known as petrol, at its retail outlets in Abuja, the Federal Federal Capital, FCT.
Investigations showed that NNPCL filling stations across the FCT, including those at Zone 6, Kubwa Expressway and Wuse Zone 4, adjusted their prices from ₦945 to ₦910 per litre as at Saturday morning, showing a
₦35 drop. This is coming against the backdrop of similar moves by other major suppliers and marketers in response to falling global crude oil prices.
The adjustment by the state-owned oil firm is coming shortly after the Dangote Petroleum Refinery reduced the ex-depot price of the commodity from ₦880 to ₦840 per litre.

Dangote Group Spokesman, Anthony Chiejina, confirmed the reduction to Punch on Monday night, noting that the new price took effect from June 30, 2025..
His words, "PMS price has been reduced from ₦880 to ₦840 per litre effective 30th June."
Meanwhile, the reduction is coming weeks after Dangote increased the ex-depot price to ₦880, following global oil market instability triggered by the 12-day conflict between Israel and Iran, which pushed crude oil prices close to $80 per barrel.
