A Television Reporter with the Abubakar Rimi Television, but serving at Kano State  Government House, Naziru Idris Yay, was hit by a stray bullet after a function on the World Press Freedom Day in Kano.
Yau, confirmed the incident to Time Express Nigeria, adding that, they were waiting after a function with some of his colleagues, chatting close to their usual gathering spot at the last Government House gate, when was hit by a stray bullet.
Yau, further noted that, after an examination at the Government House clinic, he was confirmed to be hale and hearty.
Neither the state government House or any of the spokespersons of the security agencies has  yet commented on the incident as at the time of filing this report on the origin of the bullet.
The incident occurred amid the celebration of World Press Freedom Day, which is observed every May 3rd by the United Nations.
