Lagos --------------------- A 47 year old man, Abdulrahman Malik, has been remanded in prison by an Ebute Meta Chief Magistrates’ Court in Lagos for allegedly defiling his 17-year-old daughter.

Malik was remanded on Friday following the charge defilement brought against him by the police.

Chief Magistrate O.G. Oghre who did not take his plea, ordered that the accused person be remanded in the Ikoyi Prisons (Custodial Centre) and ordered the police to file the matter at the Sexual and Domestic Violence Court, Ikeja, Lagos and adjourned the matter till November 18, 2020, for mention.

Earlier, the Prosecutor, Inspector Kehinde Olatunde had told the court that the defendant committed the offence on September 28, at Olodu Area, Ikorodu, Lagos State, pointing out that Malik defiled the 17-year-old girl who is his daughter, contrary to the provisions of Section 137 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State .
