Uproar Over Seyi Tinubu's New Job In Govt
Outrage erupts on social media after Seyi Tinubu, son of President Bola Tinubu, is spotted behind Chief of Staff Femi Gbajabiamila during the swearing-in of Nigeria’s new Chief Justice. Speculations arise over his role at the event, reigniting concerns about his presence at official functions.
The appearance of President Bola Tinubu's son, Seyi Tinubu behind the Chief of Staff, CoS, to the President during the swearing-in of the new Chief Justice of Nigeria, CJN, has sparked outrage in the social media.
Seyi was seen sitting behind the CoS, Femi Gbajabiamila, ,on the occasion, sparking widespread speculation and debate online.
President Tinubu had last year given specific instructions that Seyi should not be present at the council chambers during meetings of the Federal Executive Council following social media uproar of his presence at such meetings.
A user on X (formerly Twitter) raised concerns of many, noting “What is Seyi Tinubu doing at the back of Femi Gbajabiamila at the CJN swearing-in, or do we now have an Office of The First Son in the Federal Government of Nigeria?”
He stated:
Seyi Tinubu was in attendance, in what capacity? Nigeria is too big to be making a family affair on the issue of critical national dialogue. I urge Mr. President to appoint his son as SSA on public dialogue, so he can fit into the system rather than yet another public disgrace. pic.twitter.com/RJC8DZAiQz

Another user, however, defending Seyi Tinubu on his presence at the inauguration said:
Seyi Tinubu is the first son of the Federation, Aso Rock is his home now till the end of his father's Tenure.
He can attend any meeting so far as his dad okays it. Your opinion don't matter
If you are angry, wait till your father becomes President, but until then, keep crying. pic.twitter.com/4NlVYCC5Sf
