Moniepoint CEO Innovation Challenge: Three University of Lagos Students Win Big

The inaugural Tosin Eniolorunda Innovation Challenge, hosted by Moniepoint, has announced its winners, awarding prizes to three talented students from the University of Lagos. Halimat Ariyo, founder of Craft by Leemart, a fashion leather brand, took home the top prize of N1 million. SafeMom, a healthtech startup addressing maternal mortality, and UNISHOP, a retail-as-a-service platform, secured the first and second runners-up positions, respectively.
The challenge, held at the University of Lagos, focused on "Bridging the Gap from Micro to Macro: Empowering SMEs To Drive Sustainable National Growth." Moniepoint encouraged participants to develop innovative solutions to the challenges faced by small and medium-sized enterprises in Nigeria.
Moniepoint CEO, Tosin Eniolorunda, represented by Head of Partnerships, Efemena Ogie, emphasized the importance of empowering small businesses, citing his own experiences as an undergraduate entrepreneur at Obafemi Awolowo University. He noted that innovation and problem-solving are crucial for unlocking value and driving sustainable growth.
