The Supreme Court has upheld the election of Bayelsa State Governor Duoye Diri, dismissing the appeal by APC candidate Timipre Sylva against the November 11, 2023, election results.
The Supreme Court on Friday affirmed the election of Bayelsa State Governor, Duoye Diri, of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). A five-member panel of the Supreme Court unanimously dismissed the appeal filed by Timipre Sylva, the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, challenging the results of the November 11, 2023, election.
