Galante told Austin that Israel's attacks on Lebanon are aimed at preventing threats against Israelis. – We carried out a direct strike in Lebanon  to stop threats against Israelis. "We are closely monitoring the developments in Beirut and we have decided to use all available means to protect our citizens," Galante told Austin, according to the report. The report also emphasized that Galante and Austin discussed the urgent need to stop the escalation of the border.
