Gunmen Kill One, Abduct Two in Nasarawa State

Gunmen have tragically claimed the life of one man and abducted two others in Gadabuke, a community in Toto Local Government Area of Nasarawa State. The victim, Garba Yakubu, was killed during an attack on the residence of Agaba Yakubu in the early hours of Monday, August 25, 2024, around 2:00 AM.

Nasarawa Police Public Relations Officer, Ramhan Nansel, confirmed the incident to the press in Lafia. He stated that unknown gunmen entered the village, shot Garba Yakubu, and kidnapped two individuals, whose identities have not yet been disclosed.

Following the incident, police personnel from the Dongdong District were swiftly mobilized to the scene. Garba Yakubu’s body was recovered and later handed over to his family for an Islamic burial.

The police have intensified efforts at the Toto police station and have launched a search and rescue operation to locate the abducted victims. Investigations are ongoing to apprehend the perpetrators of this violent act.
