Auchi ----------------- The management of the Federal Polytechnic, Auchi, Edo State, has promoted 283 staff, to boost productivity and efficiency in staff output.

Acting Rector of the institution, Mr Mustaphar Zubair made this known in an interview with reporters in Auchi on Wednesday. 

 Zubair said: “The management of the Federal Polytechnic Auchi has approved the promotion of 283 staffs from both the academic and non academic sectors.

“141 are senior academic staff promoted to different ranks just about two weeks ago, and many of them have received their letters to that effect.

“We also have 142 non-academic staff making a total of 283 staff promoted this year."

According to Zubair, following a meeting of the institution’s Governing Council, the management had also approved academic leave for 63 lecturers, for both local and international study, under the TETFUND’s Academic Training Development Scheme.

He further noted that staff welfare remained one of institution’s priorities since it was key to achieving optimal productivity.
