Nsukka-------- Senator Chuka Utazi has said that evil people were planning to destroy the bond of unity in Nsukka Senatorial District because of greed and selfishness.
Utazi spoke against the backdrop of reports against him over alleged poor performance by members of the Enugu North Senatorial District Women Forum, ENSDWF at Nsukka on Monday.
However, reacting to the story and how he felt about it, Utazi noted that 2023 was too far for people to worry themseves about.
His words, "Your guess is as good as mine. As a practicing Christian who tries to follow the foot prints of Christ, I wholeheartedly in consonance with Ephesians 4:26, forgive the planners and the women who were used.
"They were called for their prayers for the actualization of the creation of Adada State, but were manipulatedly hoodwinked into an exercise they know nothing about.
"This is the handiwork of the evil one, the demon,This I know, for we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places'-Ephesians 6:12.
"I rise in prayers against these demonic forces, for I know our people are good natured, friendly, warm hearted and not divisive.
"We, as a people should not give way to the viles of the enemy, the demon and heat the polity unnecessarily.
"Having won elections a year and few months ago, we are expected to concern ourselves with delivery of impactful dividends of democracy to our people.
"For 2023 and politics that will go with it, I caution that we take to heart Christ's admonition in Matthew 6:34. Therefore do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. "Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.' We must be patient to get to the bridge before we bother about how to cross it. There is no part of Enugu State that is bonded like us.
"That is our strength and we must hold fast and firm to this advantage, with all the strength that is in us. The demons of disunity prowling around in Enugu North Senatorial District has failed in the Mighty Name of Jesus Christ. A resounding Amen.
