Enugu Gov Poll: Labour Party Governorship candidate, Edeoga leading with huge margin

Ballots for the Enugu State Governorship race were still being counted on Saturday night but the governorship candidate of the Labour Party, LP, Hon. Chijioke Edeoga appeared to be leading in the polling units in 10 out of the 17 local governments so far counted across the state.
Though no official results have been announced by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, information reaching the Southeast Post online newspaper, indicate that Edeoga is leading with a very huge margin against other candidates.

The majority of the governorship votes so far counted across the Polling Units in Enugu State indicate how the governorship candidates are doing in turning out the votes.
Overview of the results announced so far from the polling units, show  Hon Edeoga holds a significant lead over the candidates of the All Progressive Congress, APC, All Progressive Grand Alliance, APGA, as well as a huge edge over the ruling Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, a reversal from two decades when PDP outpaced other political parties in any elections in the State.

Edeoga is apparently putting a halt on the PDP’s 24 years successive rule of the state by so far capturing all the crucial electoral battlegrounds and strongholds of the his opponents, a signal that Edeoga will be the next governor of Enugu State
In the campaign’s final weeks, Hon Edeoga got the boost that the Presidential Candidate of the Party, Mr. Peter Obi typically received in February 25 Presidential election.
Hon Edeoga is riding on the wave of broad support from young people to defeat his major challengers in PDP strongholds state.
